JOBO doesn't *recommend* no presoak with XTOL, they just say it is unnecessary since Kodak did extensive testing in rotary processors prior to XTOL's introduction and published the times without presoak. The reason JOBO recommends a 5-minute presoak normally is that it brings the rotary processing times almost exactly in line with those published for inversion processing in small tanks. Otherwise, the rotary times would be about 15% less due to the constant agitation. - -- Rolfe Tessem | Lucky Duck Productions, Inc. rolfe@ldp.com | 96 Morton Street (212) 463-0029 | New York, NY 10014 - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
