Meter off the back of your hand..... It is zone 5 or 6, or maybe something
close, dependent upon your particular skin color. Using the SAME LIGHT as
the subject you wish to capture. Then make necesary changes depending upon
how you wish to place the relative reflection of your hand's light in the
scene. It takes some practice, but it is not a hard technique.

The technique works for color or B+W. With color slide film, you will have
a few more bad exposures due to the more fussiness of slide film's metering.
With color neg material you will be fine.

Remember that the metering pattern is a circle in the middle 2/3 of the
height of the frame. So place the 28mm VF right about where it covers your
entire hand, and meter away.....
