The Nikon SC-17 cord allows the flash to be used off-camera while retaining TTL functions. The SC-17 is quite long and heavy, but Really Right Stuff <> offers a shortened SC-17 cord, the RRS-17.

The Contax TLA Extension Cord 100 also may be used.
