Doug,

Seeing a photo taken with the 90/2 Summicron M is what got me into Leica. 
Not a lens of high repute, but who cares. The image was the best night 
scene I've ever seen.

  I don't have the 90/2M but I do have the R. Great lens which I, too, will 
never part with. It's 2 stops brighter than my 80-200/4. That really comes 
in handy at times. Also, it fits my SL and my 80-200 won't because it's 
ROM. Sometimes there's a reason for having overlapping focal lengths. ;-).
