*I* don't -- I'm from New York.  I was guessing about the Tannoy
thing, since they're a well-known speaker manufacturer.  Everything
from inexpensive-but-sweet-sounding "Home thee-yater" sets (their
Mercury lines, available over here) to... well, I recall a monster
called the "Churchill" with (wait for it...) a V-for-Victory-shaped
port.

I had no idea they were such an historical fixture that their brand
was synonymous with speakers, though.  And still, maybe I guessed
wrong -- maybe a "tannoy" (generic) to a Brit is a train whistle or
sumfin'.
