Jason,

have you inspected the gold contacts on the backdoor? It is important since
the contacts transfer the ASA readings to the meter circuit.
Sometimes even being of gold they need a thorough cleaning.
In another case a fellow had put the film over the contacts instead of
slipping it properly into the body.
Of course the film prevented the contacs to connect to their counterparts.
