The narrow framelines are due to the extreme angle of the lens. The light rays actually hit the frame at an angle and go under a little ways. The depth of field is not infinite. I have taken pictures with the subject close to me, focused to 1 meter or closer. The background will be somewhat out of focus. I usually shoot at F-5.6 with that lens. The film cartridge will sometimes be hard to get out, especially if the film is sticking out. Tapping the camera against your hand will usually shake it out. As for distortion, you have to be careful where you put your subjects. It is a function of the angle of view rather than a lens defect. That lens takes some practice. Its well worth it though.
