Perspective? You want to put this in perspective? I'll
give you some perspective:

* By the time all the bodies are counted we will
undoubtedly learn that more people died in the two
main Trade Tower buildings along than died at Pearl
Harbor;
* By the time all the bodies are counted, we will
probably learn that more Americans died yesterday
than, on average, died in a year during the Vietnam
war;
* By the time all the bodies are counted, we will
probably learn that more Americans died yesterday - on
the job, minding their own business; on vacation,
visiting "The Big Apple," than died in any battle on
American soil other than that at Antietam Creek.

No, Tarek, this is not the time to reconsider American
foreign policy - which is precisely what these
terrorists want. Now is not the time to write them off
as "mad men:" Hitler was a "mad man;" Stalin was a
"mad man;" Pol Pot was a "man man."

There is only one way to deal with such "mad men" -
and that is to kill them, and to make support of them
so excricatingly painful that those who would follow
them as martyrs will be forced to rethink the joys of
martyrdom.
