If you draw an imaginary circle around the RF patch that fills the frame two lenses down that will approximate the metering area. So, using a 35mm lens the 90 frame serves as a guide; the 50 frame for the 28 and so forth. Another way to get the coverage in your head is to find some bright light in a dark field, a streetlight comes to mind, center the RF patch on the light, set an exposure and watch the exposure change as you move the light source across the viewfinder. Normally it is a fairly rapid change when you hit the edge of coverage. Don dorysrus@mindspring.com
