I think I've mentioned this in the past, but I use a "biohazard case" (white biological-samples transport carrier) to carry cameras when I travel. I've never been to a seriously high-theft-risk place with it, but I've been all over Europe and South America with it and had nothing stolen, ever. The hospital-white case with the red biohazard logo just scares people.
