For 35mm scanning, I would recommend one of two scanners, depending on how
venturesome you are.  First, and easiest, is the Polaroid SprintScan 4000.
Great scanner, but dust can be an issue.  Second, and for the more
technically minded, a good used Leafscan 35.  it's 4000 SPI and a true DMax
of something like 3.6.  It is truly a great piece of engineering.
