Henning,

Hmmm?  Now that is curious.  I own the lens and the image circle on mine does not cover the 35mm format.  The circle itself barely makes 30mm, let
alone enough room to put the whole 35mm frame in the middle with relatively even illumination.

When I first purchased the lens, I made some inquiries, including here on the LUG, and found out that the Picker X-Ray 90mm f1.0 was a different
optical design than the Navy one in Lager's book - and that this probably accounted for the smaller image circle.

Did you have to make a custom mount to attach it to the camera?

Leitz also made a 65mm f0.75 for Picker which has a small image circle.
