What do you base that on? I believe your statement is utter baloney...with
mustard and cheese to boot!

Having been in the pc industry since the day it opened its doors, I
completely agree with that. Microsoft couldn't even get ONE version of a
simple little program like DOS bug free, even with near 30 different
versions, but we accepted it... If any of the companies I worked for (or
any of my companies) ever released such garbage that is common place in the
PC world, we would have been in trouble. People accept less from PCs for
some reason.

Do you know that in the PC industry, when you buy a NEW computer, and you
have, say, a hard disk problem, and bring it in for service...you may NOT
get a NEW hard disk, you get a REFURBISHED disk? The standard in the PC
industry is to replace components with "refurbished" ones. Imagine if you
bought a new car, and the engine "failed" in a month...and the dealer put a
"rebuilt" engine in it. Now, you would be outraged. People (in general)
don't understand and are afraid of computers, and therefore their
expectations are much lower.
