There are four versions of the f/1.0 Noctilux. Erwin Puts site list them, and all
M lenses here:

http://www.imx.nl/photosite/leica/overview/listm.html

I understand the differences are hoods and filter size. At one time the 58mm
fillter ring could be converted by Leica to the 60 mm filter ring. No longer
available in the US, not sure about Solms.

There are three different versions of hoods, the latest lens has the inbult hood.

Hoods can be a problem, I am not sure if any are available from leica anymore. I
think used and NOS are about it for replacement hoods.

Optically, all 4 code numbers are identical.

I think you would need to check for vignetting. The filter ring is pretty close
on the Noct, maybe why they changed it from 58 to 60, and the front element
recessed quite a bit. Fitting a hood would be the next problem with the step up.
Otherwise no problem that I know of.

Hope this helps
