I think this discussion is like - Who's better Beethoven or Bach? Vanilla or Chocolate? And as to "no one - so far - has been so stupid" think of the posts you've read asking "what kind of film did famous photographer X use?" I'll fill in the line after that for the poor sap with "I'm gonna buy some of that" "or shame they don't make that anymore" I think each photographer should make his own pictures. Study all thats gone before us and make your own pictures.
