The battery problem with the ALPA 10-D, when the RM-450's were
discontinued in the late 70's they came out with a battery adp. that
allowed you to use 2 PX-675's. I have used the zinc air one's but
they seem to only have a life of 6-8 months if you don't remove them
after you use the camera and put those stickers back on the holes on the
batteries. Which is a real pain as the battery cap is inside the camera
so you have to remove the camera back to replace them. 

I would check with Carl Heitz in NYC as they bought up all the repair
parts when the original ALPA folded.
