Just something that opinionated folk with little experience don't
understand.  Guess what, Anthony?  It really is true that some lenses are
more or less suited to certain applications.  If you want razor-sharp for
one image, you go with razor-sharp; if you want a more luminous look, you
might choose an older lens, a soft-focus lens or a even a softar-style
filter.  Very sharp, contrasty lenses are not always the perfect choice.

Then again, I doubt you've spent much time in a pro studio.  Oh, dear!

Oh dear ... what in the world is "brutal sharpness"?   Is it anything like

"Leica Glow"?
