For example at f8 the depth of field is infinity to 1.5metres. Even wide open at F4 the DOF is for example 1.5 to 3 metres. Regarding the performance, I haven't had any problems. Maybe I've been lucky, I don't know. Not sure that I could agree about light weight construction. Mechanically it feels fine, if not in the same league as the Leica 24mm. Optically it seems ok, but then I'm not an expert. One problem is the Voightlander is not rangefinder coupled, plus I have read people are not happy with the results and the lightweight construction.Joe
