There is some dispute about when the "best-built" M3's were made. There are those who contend that the "first ten thousand" are the cream of the crop, and these, too, have a buyer's premium cranked in at hammer time. My own experience, from examining, owning, and using a slew of these babies, is that it just doesn't matter -- ALL are well made!
