Cheaper (albeit still metall body), flatter, wider. Weak flash, but
enough for 2.5m with 100ASA and 5.0m with 400ASA. Do you need more range
with a P&S, indoors? 

The GR1's ultimate feature is the simple flash mode switch. All (correct
me if I am wrong) P&S automatically charge and activate the flash when
switched on. To turn the flash off, you usually have to press the tiny
2flash mode" switch several times. Not so with the GR1.
