I am in this category and i believe I'm in a 30 percent minority.
To me there is nothing obvious about standing there with my camera dangling from
underneath my right hand.
My hand is underneath it. My camera rests IN my right hand. My left hand comes
up and grabs the lens and focuses it. I drop my left hand and the camera itself
is still being cradled in my right hand.
I shoot 10 rolls of 36 exposure film in my "studio" this way in 2,3 or 4 hours.
How I'd do that with the camera dangling I'll never know.
Why cameras are being designed the other way or why the majority seems to go for
it I'll never Know.

No problem with my grip by the way. Not much help for a smaller lens but for a
24 or 90 i feel it really keeps the camera in my hand and does not get in my way.
