I have the current 28/2.8 and it blows the skopar out of the water. Having said that, the Skopar is a very good lens, particularly into the light, BUT - -- the viewfinder is HORRIBLY inaccurate. You have to tape up the top and bottom to get anything like the real vertical field of view. - -- 25mm is just too damn long to rely on scale focussing IMO. Yeah, there's huge depth of field UNTIL you shoot something close up, say 1m away, at which point it gets very tricky especially when shooting fast. One thing I AM good at is focusing fast... I almost never rely on zone focusing... but I have shot more out of focus shots with the 25 than all my other lenses put together. I know some people LOVE this lens (Hi Brian) but I never feel totally happy with it on the camera. - -- John Brownlow http://www.pinkheadedbug.com ICQ: 109343205
