get the Leica. There is no contest. I have the current 28/2.8 and it blows
the skopar out of the water. Having said that, the Skopar is a very good
lens, particularly into the light, BUT

- -- the viewfinder is HORRIBLY inaccurate. You have to tape up the top and
bottom to get anything like the real vertical field of view.

- -- 25mm is just too damn long to rely on scale focussing IMO. Yeah, there's
huge depth of field UNTIL you shoot something close up, say 1m away, at
which point it gets very tricky especially when shooting fast. One thing I
AM good at is focusing fast... I almost never rely on zone focusing... but I
have shot more out of focus shots with the 25 than all my other lenses put
together.

I know some people LOVE this lens (Hi Brian) but I never feel totally happy
with it on the camera.
