In a follow up article on page C1 of the NYTimes of July 12th, the Times reports that "The Polaroid Corporation won a reprieve from its bank yesterday, receiving a waiver that will keep it from defaulting on $367 million in loans." So, bankrupcy is apparently averted for the time being.
