Natchitoches is Louisiana, Nacadoches is Texas.  Reputedly,
the  Indian Chief Caddo had two sons.  He set them at the
Sabine river, and told them to walk for a day.  At the end
of the day, that would be the center of their lands.  The
lucky one got to come to Natchitoches.  Pronounced
"nak-a-tish."
