Was there not an old "I Love Lucy" episode in which an English teacher
informed the Ricardos and Merzes that there were two words in the English
language that should never be used. One of them was "swell" and the other
was "lousy."

If I'm not mistaken, one of the fearsome foursome responded: "Well, give us
the swell one first, then tell us the lousy one."
