[Leica] Help for list member sought

I have been asked for help by a list member who finds that he cannot post to
the Leica-Users. I can see right away that he is not sending his messages in
plain text and that this is why he cannot get through. Unfortunately, in
this case, I am a Mac person and cannot help. Here is his explanation of his
system and web access. Any help you could post would be gratefully received:

I have a HP Pavilion 6640 operating MS Windows 98 and do my business on the
Net through CompuServe. I have checked the places that would seem to offer
an alternate of 'plain text' but nothing is so identified??
When I pull down the "create Mail" option, there does not appear to be any
alternate to plain vanilla. I spent some time with FAQ and there were no
references to the subject.
