I used a Focomat 1C with a Nikkor 50 and that funny extending ring and although it seemed to work okay I was never comfortable enough about it that I didn't check through a grain magnifier. But then of course you can't tell if it could be MORE in focus without twisting the focus, and then you're focusing manually! Ah, the magic of Leica! I have a 1C manual lying around someplace if you need one. - -- John Brownlow http://www.pinkheadedbug.com ICQ: 109343205
