In one of the former states of the USSR I once tried to photograph a train 
station.  I was stopped not so much by the uniformed station guard, but 
more by the muzzle of the loaded AKM he had leveled at my chest from about 
ten metres away.

Sometimes it does _NOT_ pay to temp fate.
