Well, not quite.  He repeatedly and ceaselessly whinged about the "lack of
quality" in every Leica camera after the M3/M2.  He once posted here that a
"prominent repairman" had told him that "everyone" knew this was so.  When
I challenged him on this, he DID provide me with the fellow's name,
off-List, and I contacted him, via an intermediary, and asked him to
confirm that he had said this.  Of course, I never got a response, which
says a lot about Mike's lack of credibility.

He was a contentious and troublesome soul, far more inclined to denigrate
than to serve as a positive force.
