Subject: Vs: [Leica] Early M6 query
From: "Raimo Korhonen" <>

I have a Wetzlar one from 1985 and I have had no problems with it. Well - the screw that holds the R lever came loose early on and so the lever came loose, too - and simple tightening did not do it so I did get it fixed. But actually I had it checked only a couple of weeks ago because I purchased a 135 mm lens that would not give good focus and I had to be sure if the lens or the body was the culprit - it was the lens - and while it was at the repair shop all functions were checked and everything was OK. Not bad for a 16 year old body. So there is no real need to stay away from an early one without the blinking lights if it is working properly.
All the best!
