I guess it is possible that each image can stand on its own,
but if enough photographers were able to fully convey their
intention with the photo alone, then my guess is we'd have
magazines and newspapers with only photos, no cutlines, no
story text.

I'm most fascinated with the several PAW projects that have
text explaining something of the circumstances of the photo,
especially when the mindset of the photographer is revealed
alongside the picture.

I'm sometimes critical of Street-shooting intrusiveness, but
when I discovered the other areas of your webpage outside
the PAW that reveal your curiosity about most of the
subjects of your work, I understand and appreciate your work
more.

Taking a picture only uses a fraction of a second in most
cases; It seems to me that the shooter's brain processes
MUST consume more time. I'm not sure we give the viewer a
fair shake if we present only a revelation of 1/60th of a
second of our thoughts.

I appreciate the update on Emily, and thanks for one of the
best zoo shots I've seen in a while, I love a redhead, no
matter what color her hair is!

Regards.
