I'll have to try that. I've gotten really comfy with 50mms recently
(actually, I tend to gravitate towards 50mms among strangers and 35mms
among people I've been introduced to -- doubtless there's some
psychological insight there), but try every now and then to knock
myself out of my too-comfortable habits. I was really taken with
Ted's story of limiting himself to a 15mm-or-400mm palette, and wanted
to try something of the sort; but I lacked the full measure of his
courage (and a 400mm lens) and besides, let's face it, I'm just not as
good a photographer; so I made the range a little less extreme. On a
recent trip to Paris, I limited myself to a 24mm and a 135mm. I'm
still digesting the results. I think the 24mm pictures tended to be
more successful.

(Okay, actually, I cheated a little bit: I dragged along the Noctilux
for when it was dim, and I did have an 80mm along, too, but that had a
Mamiya 7 bolted on its back.)

So I'll have to try wandering around with just an R8 and the 100 APO.
I don't use either nearly enough.
