The same ad was in the Guardian last week. I suppose it is at the opposite
end of the same scale as the infamous Ratner's ad of a few years ago :-)

Just read the Audi advert in the UK newspaper The Sunday Times for their
used cars. It shows a nice photo of a Leica IIIg with a Summarit 5cm F1.5
lens and is captioned "Leica camera 1954".  The advert is titled 'Great
design is great forever' and says.....

"Lasting value is one of the benefits of every great piece of design. The
engineering and the build quality in a Leica camera are such that the
pictures it takes today are as good as the ones it took 40 years ago.
Likewise the engineering and build quality in an Approved Used Audi mean
that we're confident that it will perform as well tomorrow as it does
today.'

Great stuff, but doesn't it just make you want to buy an old Leica!!
