This idea that justifies the buying of COSINA because of the low pro support by
Leica in comparison to Nikon/Canon is not just POOR logic its NO logic.

The pro's i know have just as much money or more put into their Nikon/Canon
systems as i do into my Leica m system. There system is ALWAYS growing and so is
mine,
although slower!

While i have 6 lenses so far (in 8 years) they'll have 12 to 24 Nikon/Canon lenses.
Both of our systems are pretty complete but there's always something!
By the time i get my 21 SA they'd have casually aquird 2 or three higher speed zooms.
They have 3 4 5 bodies i do have a backup M6 for my M6 so far.
My system would flesh out even faster than it is now if i decide my next body
would be a Cosina or Konica.
When i was shooting Nikons i could buy a new lens to get just the right focal
length or whatever for every new job.
Now it's more of a BIG DEAL when i get a new lens…
I think if i went out today with the chump change in my back pocket and picked
up a piece of Konica gear it would be LESS of a big deal.
The thing is of course that here is only so many different Leica M lenses I
could possibly get and ten times more if i was a Nikon/Canon shooter. So my
system will be absolutely FINISHED TOPPED OFF as fast as the Nikon/Canon
shooters. I'll be done accumulating about as fast as they will.
I have a 24 but will i NOT get the new 28 Asph? No someday I'll have both just
like i have both those focal lengths in my mold growing Nikon system.

I can imagine reaching into my camera bag in front of a pressured art director.
She/he is thinking:

"Get this is exciting!! This photographer with this Leica system is putting a
^%$#@ on his camera!
I'm sure he knows its EVERY much as good as that Summicron lens he's taking off
his camera!
These picture are sure going to have that extra pizzaz we're hiring him for!!
GULP!!

What do i do NOW if my 24 is not wide enough to do some big important career
breaking job i get hired to do?
a: Rent a Hasselblad superwide
b. Get a loan an BUY the 21.
eat beans and rice for the next 7 months while i pay it off but i got the shot!!
