NOT! no, no, no, no, no Adobe GoLive!! And 5.0 not 4.0, Steve!! I have now removed the warning from the splash page as it was clearly misleading people. Just for the record, the site displays well in ALL browsers except Netscape 6. In GoLive it is checked for compliance with versions 3, 4 and 5 of both Netscape and Explorer. I check it manually in iCab and Opera. I have really deep reservations about many MS products. I am forced into using MS Word for some text work because so many people use .doc as a default format. One day a giant killer is going to come along and displace Word. I can't wait. But I write most of my stuff in Final Draft, and deliver in .pdf format. But IE5 really is a fine product. For something with a smaller memory footprint I recommend iCab, which is zippy and well built, and you can customise what HTML it obeys. Opera is looking better and better too. Netscape really is starting to look like a pretty dismal third. Only 4.7 seems robust enough for daily use on the Mac, and it's very dated. - -- John Brownlow http://www.pinkheadedbug.com
