Subject: Re: [Leica] SF-20 flash question

This has been discussed many times before. YOU ONLY NEED TO ENTER THE
APERTURE ON THE SF-20 FOR THE RANGE TO BE DISPLAYED. The TTL flash works
fine if you do not and I never do with mine.

There is one quirk with the SF-20 and the M6TTL. It does not warn you of
overexposure only underexposure or correct exposure. If you are too close or
the lens aperture is wide open such that the minimum amount of flash is too
much, the flash and the camera will signal a correct exposure. Annoying but
still better than magnesium powder.

So if you are not too practised with a flash I would enter the aperture so
you can get an idea of what is possible. Otherwise just use some good old
safe flashing sense.
