The 75 summilux was my first Leica lens! I got it along with my camera
because I got a great deal on it ($1000), but it was not a great lens
for your only one... I ended up trading it in on a 35mm summicron ASPH,
which is a better all around lens to have.
I look at the 75 lux as a real special effects lens. When you shoot it
wide open, or close to wide open, it has a very "lucious" look. It has
the "best" bokeh I've ever seen... Keep in mind that it takes more than
a little practice to nail shots consistently wide open. The lens is
blazingly sharp stopped down, but so is the 90 2.8, and the 90 summicron
ASPH/APO, and those last two are a little easier to carry around... Now
I wish I had the 75 lux again, it would make a good complement to my
regular lenses, 50 cron, 90 elmarit-m, and 35 cron asph. I guess that's
my best advice, its a good complement lens...
