I remember selling an R8 to a lady (american) a while back... She had a
Nikon Fm, and was interested in "taking the next step with Leica". OK,
she buys the R8 and a 50 summicron. We have a two week return period.
She calls in a week and a half and says she may not have enough time to
fully evaluate the camera, so I say no problem and give her another two
weeks. Two weeks later, I come back from my day off and find that she's
returned the camera... When asked why, she said that the contact sheets
looked the same as her nikon ones... Sheesh, I never would have sold it
to her if I knew that was her comparison... It makes you wonder about
the expectations some people have...
