My thanks to John Black and Austin Franklin for their advice on the Canon 7s
and 50mm F0.95. I passed on the details to my friend and he has decided to
keep the camera AND use it. Obviously, the sentimental value outweighs the
price he'd be offered and it's likely that a CLA on lens and body would cost
more than the residual value.

Also, it was strange to hear a 25 year old say that he was unimpressed with
today's modern plasticky cameras. So, I immediately dug out an M6 and showed
him. I think in a few years time he may catch the Leica bug! A small problem
of finance at this time though!
Cheers,
Paul.
