Yes, I do recall reading Jim's method and, like most techniques that come
from Mr. Brick, it sounds like a winner.  Having used the universal
polarizer for a few months, it quickly becomes addictive--a very convenient
device, if only Leica can get it to work without falling apart!

I'm going to send my polarizer back to NJ rather than fix it myself just so
they know there is a recurring problem with the filter.

I may wind up employing Jim's trick regardless, as the polarizer won't work
with the 75 summilux, and there are times I'd like to use a polarizer with
that lens.
