Scanners The scan of the Ox Cart was pretty much a straight scan - on the Coolscan IV. The slide is exposed spot on - neither thin nor dense. I have found that scanning dense E6 requires a bit of analog gain. This one dies and turns muddy in Cibachrome, but the slide, on the denser side, snaps and prints out great on my Epson 740. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=193824 Kodachrome scans are more difficult. This one required analog gain and an increase in brightness. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=193818 I have tended to scan a bit bright because my printer (ordinary Epson 740) darkens up a bit.
