I'm not opposed to claustrophobic cropping, but why chop something off the left side of the picture only to leave empty space on the right? If the shot was so tight that the table and chairs filled the frame and were cropped off all around, that would make sense. IMO, the picture doesn't gain anything with the right side empty, whereas it might if it were reframed to include the whole table.
