It has very limited movements, say 30 degreees of up or down movement....but it weighs about 6-8 ounces, so it is light. If I must take a tripod for the Hassy or Leica, and IF I am able to cope with the idea if limited movement, this combo is quite useful... The Linhof item is about 2 inches high, and has an open ball and socket design. The ball is only the middle 1/3 section of a sphere. Frank Filippone
