This may or may not be much help:

If your tripod head allows it, tilt the camera 90deg.

It will make composition hellishly difficult. Somehow anything but
left-right reversal gets really hard to compensate for.

But, all the focus and exposure controls etc. will be there at head height
(and not above head height).
