I've been using my new Nocti with the .72 (classic) for a month now. I'm
finding that I don't like the built in shade and wished Leica would make
it without that... That being said, I like sitting in pubs with my Nocti..
;)

I don't think the lower magnification makes any difference. It is, after
all only 50mm.

If you can find a user Nocti with the removeable hood, jump on it.. (then
get it fixed and use it ;) .. don't jump on your equipment.. it doesn't
like it. )

Question for the Noctilux 50/1 experts out there,

Of all the versions of 50/1 Noctilux's since 1976, which would be the best
one from a users standpoint (versus collectable) to purchase used? If they
are all basically the same, is there one that is more of a bargain? This
would be used on a M6TTL .72, mainly for concerts, museums or other
locations that won't allow flash, etc. (I actually like A. H. Schmidt's idea
of sitting in a German pub the best!). Hopefully, the lower magnification
won't be too much of an issue with this camera. Thanks again for your help.
