Actually, if one has the money to "waste," this is quite a good idea....Buy a new m6 for, what, $1800? Stick in on a shelf. Every three months spend 15 minutes "dry firing" it at all shutter speeds. For apx $90 a year in 20 years you will have a brand new, in the box, mint M6 to take out and use for the next 20 without a problem....probably..;-)
