Matt, unless we know what the dealer meant when they told Joseph they would sell the lens to him, we won't have an accurate picture of what happened.  I believe Joseph.  Based on my private contacts and transactions with John I believe him too.

Unless we know more about the dealer and the dealer's contacts with everyone involved I doubt we can resolve this to everyone's satisfaction.  This really isn't worth losing good will over.
