George, either current 50mm lens (Summicron or Summilux) is an outstanding performer. Earlier 50mm Summilux performance is average but not spectacular. The current version can be identified by the E60 filter thread.

In 35mm lenes, the Summilux-R's lack of internal reflections is nothign short of amazing. Combine this with very fine detail and color rendition and it's performance is first-class.

Leica has made several 180mm lenses so maybe you could mention which one you are considering.
