[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Let me get this straight.....$14,000...Dollars? American? For a 35-70 2.8 zoom? Or, for that matter, $5,500? And it is how many times better than the Nikon or Canon zooms of the same focal length range and f stop? (The Nikon 28-70 ED AF lens with Silent Wave Motor is $1399..The 35-70 is $669.) So this lens produces images that are, what?, 10 times better than those of the Nikon lens with the wider range? Or the build quality is 10 times better?) I'm sorry, guys and guyettes, but this is what is really quite sick about the whole Leica "thing." Forget the Leica "glow"...anyone who would fall for this nonsense has to have one hell of a "glow" on him or herself - or, as was just noted, is simply trying to move merchandise for a quick mark up. Because, as was also just noted, in no way will this pay off as a long term "investment" as compared to traditional investments. B.D.
