Yesterday some organisation announced that Vancouver was the premiere place
in the world to live in. Today the earthquake hit us! They should stop
issuing rankings like that. Seattle got hit badly and we escaped with minor
"rockin and rolling". I lost a drill as I was crossdrilling a stainless steel
lever and the drill-jig shifted. I have also decided to bolt my 1200 lbs
milling machine to the floor, after having seen it dancing across the
floorboards. Not a dance partner you want to embrace! No damage otherwise in
Vancouver - cellphones were out for 30-40 minutes, lots of frustrated drivers
trying to redial while their SUV zigzagging across the roadways.
As for what exposure to use - 1/1000 and whatever f-stop fits that. Tripod
would not work as EVERYTHING is moving.
